Sri Mahaprabhu Chaitanya is the foremost proponent & reformer of bhakti yoga. He appeared as a devotee of Sri Lord Krishna. However, he is none other than supreme Sri Lord Krishna himself in the mood of Srimati Radharani. Sri Krishna Chaitanya appeared in Navadwipa Mayapur (now in state of West Bengal, India) about 500 years back. History of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu very clearly depicts his connection to Madhavacarya who is connected to Brahma sampradaya. Lord Brahma is the creator of the universe. Lord Brahma got his instructions from Lord Krishna.
